The Magic Bullet

May 07, 2013 at 11:12 AM

Sometimes it seems like if we just keep cleansing, keep scrubbing out our digestive tract, flushing out our liver, and washing out all the toxins, that all our digestive troubles will be solved.

Hmmmmm, has anyone else not experienced the desired results in that?

Our body wants to be able to digest whatever we put in it.

Dairy?  Bring it on.

Gluten? Absolutely.

Oil and the occasional grease?  Why not!?

Why is it that we can’t digest many of these things well?

The function of the liver - its bile production - is directly related to the acid production of our stomachs.

When our vitality is low, our prana and our apana don’t have energy to move.  These ‘winds’ in the body are responsible for the movement involved in digestion.

When we don’t provide enough vital energy through food, good starches and protein, our bodies don’t have the power to digest.

Too much cleansing, or too much restriction in diet can exacerbate the problem.

The liver becomes tired and sluggish, and the stomach recognizes this.

It stops creating as much helpful acid to break down the foods that take more work to digest (gluten, dairy, etc.), and build up begins to happen.

What if we feed the liver to boost its bile production?

 * 1 Tbs. olive oil and 1 tsp. lemon juice before bed.*

This will stimulate a response from the stomach that its time to begin acid production.

Let the eating begin!
